What do you need to know about enterprise application integration?

In the last 7 years I have been working on enterprise application integration and successfully implemented ESB integration hubs using JCAPS, Oracle ESB, OpenESB and Mule. Service orchestration is a complex beast that requires a full enterprise view of the operations to be executed.
